As you work and play outdoors, there's one thing you can't afford to overlook:  the power lines that bring electricity into your home.  Electricity is essential in any home, but it must be treated with respect.

When planting, look up! Is there a power line over head?  Then you may need to change your landscaping plans.  Always consider the mature height of trees and shrubs when planting near power lines.

Look up for overhead power lines when operating tall machinery.

When working with TV or Radio antennas make sure they are well away from overhead lines.  Several deaths and injuries occur each year from accidents involving antennas and power lines, consider this when installing your antenna.

Before you do any digging, remember to CALL BEFORE YOU DIG. We'll notify you of any dangers lurking underground.

If you notice a low-hanging or downed power line, stay away and call KEC immediately!
