KEC Foundation HS Scholarship Application

Recipients must either be members of the Kiamichi Electric Cooperative (KEC) or live in the household of a KEC member.

All students awarded scholarship funds must be enrolled in a state-accredited college, university, or CareerTech in Oklahoma, or a neighboring state's institution that offers in-state tuition to Oklahoma students.

Recipients need to be a full-time student at such a college or university.

Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.8 in their major area of study.

Scholarship funds are designated solely for college or university tuition costs, books, and other classroom-related expenses as approved by the foundation.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The finalists will be judged on these criteria:

1. Financial Need

2. Grade Point Average

3. Leadership Skills

4. Participation in extracurricular activities

If a recipient is unable to complete their education, the awarded funds must be returned to the foundation.

Finalists agree to provide a picture for publication in a cooperative newsletter and local newspaper.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Applications are due by Apri 1st each year.

Funds will not be disbursed to the school until after the institution's drop date.

It is the student's responsibility to provide accurate information. Failure to provide the correct mailing address for the school or student ID number may result in a delay of your scholarship.
