Student of the Month

Celebrating Excellence: Kiamichi Electric Cooperative (KEC) Foundation Launches Student of the Month Program

In a heartfelt initiative to recognize and encourage academic excellence and positive behavior among students, the KEC Foundation has announced the launch of its Student of the Month program. This program, designed to highlight the achievements of outstanding students, seeks to foster a culture of motivation and inspiration within the school community.

This program will spotlight 1 student each month who exemplifies the ideals of hard work, leadership, and community involvement. Teachers, counselors, and school administrators give nominations, and students in our service territory are eligible to win.

Students will be evaluated based on academic performance, attendance, participation in extracurricular activities, and acts of kindness. The selection committee is comprised of the KEC Foundation Board of Directors, who review nominations and select the monthly honoree.

Each selected student will receive a gift from the cooperative and a check for $100. The program is expected to promote a positive school environment where students feel valued and encouraged to pursue their goals.

This program launched in August of 2024, and the board of directors hopes that this initiative will create a ripple effect, motivating students to work hard and engage more actively in their education and community.

As the foundation takes this exciting step, it reaffirms its commitment to the community by supporting the youth and recognizing that today’s students are the leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can celebrate their achievements and inspire them to reach new heights.

Let’s celebrate excellence in our schools and empower our students to shine!
