Air Evac Lifeteam is an air ambulance service supported by membership, offering emergency care and swift medical transport to rural areas across the central United States. The McAlester, Oklahoma base serves Kiamichi Electric Coop members and has been operational at 1005 North Strong Blvd since June 2000. The company manages 95 bases across 14 states and holds accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems.
- For only $5 added to your monthly electric bill, members of Kiamichi Electric can also become members of Air Evac Lifeteam. Please note that your membership does not become active until Air Evac has received payment. If you have any concerns about coverage, please reach out to Member Services.
- Once an individual becomes a member, Air Evac Lifeteam works on behalf of their insurance provider for compensation for the cost of the flight. Whatever the insurance company pays is considered payment in full.
- Although Air Evac Lifeteam’s emergency medical helicopters provide service to anyone, the membership program offers significant benefits. If Air Evac Lifeteam flies you, your membership fee is considered payment in full for the flight.
- Access to trauma care is often limited in rural areas, making an Air Evac helicopter crucial for improving outcomes in medical emergencies.
