Danny, a graduate of Merritt High School, earned his degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Criminal Justice from Oklahoma State University (OSU).
He dedicated 40 years to law enforcement as an officer with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol before retiring in 2014. Together with his wife, Patty, they raised 4 sons and now cherish the company of 14 grandchildren.
Tragically, Patty passed away in 2013 after a long struggle with cancer. Additionally, Danny has served as the fire chief at the Number 9 Fire Department in Longtown for over 30 years and has been a member of Kiamichi Electric since 1984. Since the foundation's inception in 2000, he has held the position of president.
He is actively involved on various boards in the Lake Eufaula area and regularly attends the Church of Christ in Eufaula, where he credits his faith for guiding him through both challenging and joyful times. Danny is passionate about contributing to the foundation and helping its members.
