Nancy Pfannes is 1 of the longest-serving members of the KEC Foundation Board, having been part of it since its inception.
She states, “In the early days, we held several meetings without distributing any benefits, as we were cautious about spending our neighbors' funds.” Born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Nancy was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma, and graduated from Lawton High School in 1959.
She and her husband, Pete, settled in the Cravens area and built their home around 1980. They played a pivotal role in establishing the Cravens Volunteer Fire Department during the 1980s, with Pete serving as chief for a time while Nancy contributed as a firefighter.
As a retired US Army employee, she holds deep respect and admiration for veterans. Nancy is thankful for the chance to serve on the board and to share the generosity of KEC members.
